    Job summary

    The Red Hat People (HR) team is looking for a User Experience Research Intern with solid research design, data analysis, user experience, and interaction design skills to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you'll collaborate to design research studies, conduct studies, analyze the results, and make recommendations for tools and system improvements.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Collaborate across Red Hat University (RHU) and the product team to identify opportunities for user experience improvements
    • Develop a well-crafted research plan with clear research objectives
    • Recruit targeted end users for specific research studies
    • Collect usability data surveys, usability sessions, and stakeholder and client interviews
    • Draw insights and conclusion about user behaviors from a variety of data
    • Translate user insights into actionable recommendations for the offering team
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of the implemented actions

    Required skills

    • Ability to work full time hours during summer 2020 in the location listed
    • Currently enrolled in a graduate program in user experience design, interaction design, human-computer interaction, human factors, or related degree
    • Experience with learning and development or a passion for this domain area
    • Passionate, curious, and motivated; experience working in fast-paced environments while applying both generative and evaluative research methods to build a larger understanding of users
