    Job summary

    The Red Hat Identity and Access Management team is looking for an IT Enterprise Services Identity Access Management Intern to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will work alongside some of the brightest engineers in the identity and access management space. You’ll focus on improving our identity service which onboards new employees to Red Hat.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Develop, document, test, review, and secure multi-site HTTP services and message-based middleware, both in public and private cloud Red Hat OpenShift environments
    • Work closely with domain experts to analyze and codify business requirements
    • Collaborate with our IT team's application and integration platform teams

    Required skills

    • Ability to work full-time hours during summer 2020 in the location listed
    • 1+ year(s) of experience in Java or other object-oriented languages
    • 1+ year(s) of experience using Oracle, MySQL or MariaDB, or MongoDB
    • 1+ year(s) of experience with REST or SOAP HTTP services
    • 1+ year(s) of experience developing applications working in an agile development environment
    • 1+ year(s) of experience administering Linux systems
    • 1+ year(s) of experience with distributed source control tools like Git or Mercurial
    • 1+ year(s) working with continuous integration (CI) tools and processes
    • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or another closely related field

     

    Experience with the following will be considered a plus:

     

    • Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes
    • Spring Boot
    • NetflixOSS
    • NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra
    • Swagger or OpenAPI
    • Working on open source projects
    • Red Hat Fuse or Apache Camel
    • Red Hat AMQ, Apache ActiveMQ, or Apache ActiveMQ Artemis
    • Puppet, Chef, or Red Hat Ansible Automation
    • Jenkins
