    Job summary

    The Emerging Technologies (ET) team within the Office of Technology is looking for a summer Intern to join us in Boston, MA. Your focus will be the full life cycle Kubernetes delvelopment. You will have a mentor to work with you through all phases of your internship. Depending on timing, you will be encourgaged to attend a technology conference.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • With guidance from your mentor, make a contribution to Kubernetes or related project(s)
    • Summarize your work in a short presentation to the (virtual) team
    • Attend a technology conference (optional)
    • Learn real-world open source software development

    Required skills

    • Ability to work full-time hours during the summer of 2020 in the location listed (Boston, MA)
    • About to complete a computer science or similar degree within the next year
    • Familiarity with the Go programming language is a plus
    • Familarity with Linux tools, shells, make, etc.
    • Knowledge of Kubernetes or other container orchestration frameworks is a plus
    • Familiarity with Docker or similar container technology
