    Job summary

    Red Hat’s Brand and Creative team is looking for a Creative Strategy Intern to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will develop project case studies that showcase how our creative solutions are increasing marketing effectiveness. You will research program goals, launch strategies, and analyze performance results across media. You’ll develop insights from the analysis and demonstrate conclusions in compelling and user-friendly presentations. You will develop and showcase the performance stories behind the flagship creative programs launched by the Brand and Creative team, including Open Source Stories, launches of our offerings, The Open Organization, etc). As a Creative Strategy Intern, you will help the Corporate Marketing team tell the story of how community-powered, open source technology is changing the world. Behind every new Red Hat technology, offering, solution set, and sales strategy is a team of people to help our customers, partners, and communities understand how it all works. As part of corporate marketing, you will ensure that our brand embodies openness and reflects our shared purpose.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Build a data story around our flagship creative and brand programs
    • Demonstrate at expos the relationship between creative storytelling and measurable marketing performance
    • Learn about creative program goals via primary internal research of strategies and briefs
    • Audit the performance and effectiveness of our programs by partnering with program and team leads; you will use metrics like traffic, impressions, conversions, brand affinity, brand awareness, or similar
    • Analyze performance results
    • Develop new performance insights from your analyses
    • Illustrate conclusions in compelling and user-friendly presentations via written and visual storytelling
    • Package presentations (case studies) to showcase our marketing effectiveness to new internal audiences

    Required skills

    • Ability to work full-time hours during summer 2020 in the location listed
    • General understanding of the measurement of marketing performance
    • Affinity for both data and creative storytelling
    • Ability to partner across marketing teams to research and audit creative marketing programs
    • Ability to translate marketing data into a compelling, concise story
