    Job summary

    The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Federal Consulting Client Manager to join us. In this role, you will work in a designated account and collaborate with the account sales executive, services manager, services technical team, and other Red Hat teams to promote superior delivery and total customer success through Red Hat consulting, products, and adoption. You’ll be focused on the successful delivery and execution of Red Hat consulting and services engagements within your assigned accounts. You will be expected to provide an intense level of program governance to our most strategic accounts to ensure complete delivery success. The solutions you will oversee will focus primarily on digital transformation and emerging technologies. The accounts you will oversee are embarking on a multi-solution, multi-phased, multi-year journey with Red Hat and that complexity requires significant programmatic ownership. You’ll be responsible for understanding the accounts, inclusive of the customer goals, missions, and politics. Collaboration with multiple business tams within Red Hat, inclusive of sales and support teams, is a key to success within this role. As a Federal Consulting Client Manager, you’ll need to be an active contributor within the Consulting team. This includes proactive collaboration, contributing to internal initiatives, and providing mentorship amongst the teams you will be a part of. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Take executive-level ownership, communication, and accountability for all external and internal stakeholders
    • Detailed management and reporting of account through Red Hat tools
    • Perform risk and quality control for clients’ and Red Hat preparedness
    • Support customers’ internal marketing, business outcomes, roadmaps, and overall vision
    • Strategize and act on delivery practice evolution in accordance with the scale of business
    • Navigate and proactively own escalation procedures to bring an issue to closure
    • Facilitate the end-to-end implementation of Red Hat consulting within an account
    • Structure and manage complex projects surrounding Red Hat technologies
    • Understand Red Hat and customer procurement processes
    • Be responsible for the end-to-end orchestration and execution of applicable consulting contracts
    • Provide sales and scoping support to assigned customers, increasing Red Hat Consulting revenue
    • Attend or host regular meetings with customers to build relationships in a professional and personal manner through on-site meetings and events
    • Onboard new direct reports
    • Develop, enable, and coach associates to excel within their roles and beyond
    • Contribute to the interviewing process through phone and in-person interviews
    • Contribute to the screening of subcontractor resources for applicable accounts
    • Negotiate rates and terms for subcontractor resources
    • Contribute to the hiring events

    Required skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering, or a related applicable education
    • Client-facing field experience, particularly at the executive level
    • Consulting delivery or sales experience
    • Experience managing teams
    • Proven presentation skills
    • Risk management experience
    • Experience with cross-functional collaboration
    • Top Secret (TS) clearance
    • Willingness to travel on a periodic basis
