    Job summary

    Be the heartbeat of a cultural and digital transformation change and serve as a catalyst for large-scale, transformative delivery the open source way. The Red Hat Services team is looking for a Transformation Lead to join our diverse team. In this role, you will be one of the business process analyst and agile coaches who have lead agile transformations and can coach and nurture teams undergoing transformation initiatives. You should feel comfortable working with C-level executives to support their business goals, and equally comfortable running workshops and putting together strategic proposals that support these transformation initiatives. As a Transformation Lead, you will support everything from initiating long-term transformation programs, through running value stream assessments, to developing team best practices and taking them to scale. Throughout the life cycle of the project, you will have control and oversight from kickoff to closeout, including determining scope details and monitoring project’s progress to ensure that it conforms to customer expectations and contractual agreements. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Come help lead Red Hat Services transformation engagements with customers in an agile-focused fashion; direct experience with our technology platform and methodology is not required, but industry experience in agile delivery methodology using key DevOps components like continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD), supply chain management (SCM), test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD), ChatOps, and Everything as Code (EaC), including infrastructure, documentation, compliance, etc., is a plus


    Lead a large team beginning their agile transformation journey by doing the following:


    • Partner with customers to create the foundations of the program in order to lead them through an agile transformation at organizational scale
    • Coach and enable delivery teams on modern application design and development practices
    • Support teams in creating product vision and roadmap, writing effective user stories, and prioritizing an enterprise backlog based on business value in a project management tool like Jira
    • Apply your understanding of program planning and management, team management, and process management and improvement and your team building skills
    • Develop understanding of how Red Hat’s platform technologies work and are positioned in the market
    • Become an agent of change for customer organizations, acting as facilitator and mentor for change during their agile transformation journey
    • Conduct portfolio-level reviews and team onboarding assessments
    • Implement cross-functional, strategic, and tactical processes to guide systemic change and growth for our offerings while increasing the focus on customer success, technical excellence, associate engagement, teamwork, and quality
    • Innovate on our current thinking and develop new approaches to change how organizations and teams deliver software and systems
    • Create solid relationships with customers and partners
    • Build interpersonal relationships with other Red Hat’s teams and serve as a trusted adviser to major Red Hat’s customers
    • Support presales and scoping of consulting solutions, as well as sales and business development for the Labs
    • Integrate creative and innovative ways to position a strategic direction
    • Work within a team environment to formulate and implement a strategic vision

    Required skills

    • Active Top Secret clearance
    • Expertise delivering business value through experience as a product designer or product manager or in a professional services role, applying methodologies like design thinking and lean strategy
    • 7+ years of experience working as an agile coach, leading 100% agile software development within an organization; ability to showcase growing responsibilities and competencies around organizational agile adoption
    • Foundational understanding of domain driven-design, TDD, value stream mapping, and metrics-based process mapping
    • Solid written and verbal communication skills; public speaking skills and ability to present in front of customers
    • Comfortable with ambiguity and facilitating discussions to explore best possible solutions
    • Ability to lead with imagination, courage, and curiosity
    • Understanding of the Red Hat’s business strategy and economic model; good business insight and judgment
    • Knowledge of program management processes and experience with revenue-based project reporting
    • Willingness to travel up to 75% to customer sites
    • Public sector experience is a plus
