    Job summary

    The People (HR) Analytics team is looking for an experienced HR Data Analyst to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will provide talent data analytics, modeling, and workforce planning (WFP) measurements. You’ll work closely with Talent Acquisition (TA), HR, and Finance teams and the WFP Program Manager to develop and deliver Red Hat’s WFP modeling, insights, and visualizations. You’ll need to have solid consulting, presentation, technical, and analytical skills, as well as the ability to provide actionable recommendations and enable data-driven decisions. You will develop a deep understanding of Red Hat’s talent strategies, organizational culture, and trends to tackle complex business challenges and deliver actionable insights and guidance to decision makers. As a Workforce Planning Analyst, you’ll need to have 5+ years of experience with HR analytics, talent measurement, business planning, and metrics. You should also have knowledge of the talent life cycle and industry trends and be able to research and identify organizational tipping points, capabilities, and correlations. You technical skills should include data mining, cleansing, integrations, blending, and modeling, as well as proficiency in creating executive-ready Tableau visualizations. You should be able to share your expertise, construct professional presentations, advanced forecasting models, recommendations and strategic and tactical plans. You’ll also need to demonstrate resourcefulness, ability to work on your own, and innovative and creative mindset to find better ways to assess and cultivate Red Hat’s workforce.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Deliver accurate HR reports, analysis, and insights
    • Work with cross-functional teams to understand reporting and analytics needs
    • Create specifications for reports, visualizations, and program dashboards
    • Design attractive and impactful visualizations and infographics that efficiently enable decision making
    • Perform reporting audits to ensure accuracy and compliance
    • Provide enablement to HR and business end users
    • Coordinate with third-party vendors on system issues, tickets, projects, and upgrades
    • Correlate data across hiring, engagement, longevity, and development
    • Assist team with analytics system deployments and lead operational excellence initiatives
    • Partner with program managers and cross-functionally to lead Red Hat’s innovative approach to integrated talent management

    Required skills

    • Post-baccalaureate degree or equivalent work experience
    • 5+ years of experience with HR or TA analytics, talent measurement, and business planning
    • Demonstrated consulting capabilities and customer orientation
    • Experience working with HR information systems (HRIS) like enterprise resource planning (ERP), applicant tracking system (ATS), and disclosure and barring service (DBS) as key data sources
    • Technical skills should include data mining, cleansing, and proficiency with data visualization tools
    • Ability to take complex datasets and create key takeaways and recommendations
    • Great data visualization and storytelling skills using Tableau or other data visualization tools like Microsoft Office or G Suite
    • Organized and detail-oriented with advanced capabilities in design
    • Ability to work both collaboratively and on you own in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent interpersonal, team collaboration, and communication skills
    • Ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple priorities
    • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
