    Job summary

    The Red Hat Global Partners and Alliances (GPA) team is looking for an Account Manager to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will help manage our partner programs for our strategic alliance partners. You will work closely with the Global Alliance business development managers to deliver a best-in-class program to the partners.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Review, update, and publish process documents for alliances, e.g., partner onboarding guides, not-for-resale subscription ordering processes, or deal registration procedures
    • Engage other Red Hat Operations, Finance, and Product teams and Regional Partner Sales Leads to ensure processes are adequate, accurate, and optimized
    • Ensure backend operations support the program and work through internal stakeholders and systems like Salesforce.com (SFDC), Red Hat Network Classic, and the Red Hat Partner Connect portal to ensure systems can support the scale and are efficient
    • Communicate requested enhancements for the alliance partners to management; serve as a project manager for any program enhancements
    • Serve as the contact person for all Red Hat field and regional requests related to program issues
    • Work with Red Hat Channel Marketing team to ensure Red Hat’s partner portal system is configured to manage content and privileges for the program
    • Help expand training and enablement offerings for partners
    • Manage partner onboarding process for the program
    • Collaborate with the global partner marketing team and regional teams to establish the right campaigns, offerings, or promotions that help achieve results
    • Ensure Red Hat’s program maintains integrity and supports the delivery of the required financial results
    • Work closely with Red Hat’s Product and Technologies (PnT) Architecture team in designing and refining additional route programs and offerings

    Required skills

    • Bachelor’s degree; MBA or a postgraduate degree is a plus
    • 5+ years of related IT industry experience, preferably with an enterprise software company
    • Proven record managing large-scale programs and projects, especially partner programs
    • Knowledge of SFDC or other partner relationship management systems is a plus
    • Experience working with alliance partners or software and system builders is a plus
    • Solid written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; good presentation skills
    • Experienced in succeeding through a matrix organization
    • Process, planning, and project management skills
    • Knowledge of open source software and global experience is a plus
    • Motivated, passionate, innovative, collaborative, creative, and analytical
    • Demonstrated ability to plan and set priorities
    • Ability to identify and resolve problems to produce measurable results
