    Job summary

    The Red Hat Information Technology (IT) team is looking for a highly skilled Technical Delivery Manager to join our Identity and Access Management team in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will work with a small team of software developers and system engineers to understand system interdependencies and interactions, collaborate with internal and external teams to define business requirements, and implement highly available and scalable enterprise solutions. You will manage a global team of talented engineers, enabling them to plan and deliver on their roadmaps in an agile, iterative, continuously improving environment, while engaging with other leaders and stakeholders across Red Hat on plans and priorities. As a Technical Delivery Manager, you will persuade people and optimize processes while diving deep into innovative technology.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Serve as a people manager for the team
    • Lead delivery of multiple Identity and Access Management services, including Kerberos, SSO, RHCS, RHDS, IPA, and others
    • Cultivate an efficient, effective, and continuously improving agile environment for multiple product teams
    • Work with product owners and other stakeholders to maintain a clear, prioritized backlog
    • Formulate delivery schedules and resource plans, track status of deliverables, and manage delivery risks
    • Communicate delivery plans, status, and risks to management and stakeholders
    • Administer the team’s agile project management tools, e.g., Jira and Rally
    • Provide performance and development coaching and feedback for team members
    • Perform administrative people manager tasks, including bonus allocation, paid time off (PTO) approval, etc.

    Required skills

    • Experience with leadership of highly technical delivery teams while serving as a tech lead, delivery lead, or people manager
    • 5+ years of background in practical system administration; up-to-date skills are not required
    • Familiarity with Identity and Access Management
    • Agile scrum process management experience
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Solid organizational, customer service, and communication skills
    • Flexible with the ability to work as part of a team and get things done
    • Ability to organize and plan work on your own with little direction
    • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
    • Ability to handle multiple priorities and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams
    • People management experience is a plus
    • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certifications are a plus
