    Job summary

    The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Senior Manager for the Carolinas region to join us in North Carolina or in the Atlanta, GA area. In this role, you will report to the Regional Vice President for the Mid-Atlantic, being instrumental in developing and implementing growth strategies and a comprehensive solutions approach to reach enterprise customers for Red Hat. You'll need to have a dynamic and creative approach to managing your team of sales professionals. As a Senior Manager, you will also need to be team-oriented and passionate with solid problem-solving skills. You will need to build and maintain relatonships with our customers to help strengthen Red Hat's value messaging and delivery, ensuring team and customer success. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Develop, coach, and mentor a sales team to grow business and promote effective sales strategies
    • Motivate and inspire your team while taking on competitors as Red Hat gains market share in enterprise markets
    • Guide the sales team to achieve quarterly and annual revenue and growth targets by establishing sales goals and monitoring their achievement
    • Maintain a close working relationship with other members of the regional leadership team and contribute to the strategic and tactical success of Red Hat's core business and the company as a whole
    • Build customer relationships to help strengthen Red Hat’s value messaging and delivery, ensuring team and customer success

    Required skills

    • 5+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in a highly matrixed software organization
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficient with profit and loss (P&L) management and marketing strategies that contribute to success  
    • Experience managing a $50M+ sales team and demonstrated ability to use personal knowledge, processes, and solutions selling strategies and methodologies to meet revenue growth objectives
    • Demonstrated ability to guide and promote plan implementation targets
    • Relationships-oriented with a solid presence and proven ability to build credibility at all levels within a customer organization, including among the C-level executives
