    Job summary

    The Red Hat Data Security and Privacy (DS+P) team is looking for a Program Manager focused on communications and change management to join us in Raleigh, NC or Westford, MA. In this role, you will be an integral part of a team responsible for partnering cross functionally to secure and maintain the privacy of Red Hat's customer data. You'll work closely with globally distributed engineering, information security, legal, and technical support teams and focus on supporting customer data privacy needs. You’ll need to have experience with process and data analysis, project management, and business analysis to understand the requirements and business drivers for Red Hat's systems and processes. As a Program Manager, you will create and implement change management strategies and common processes across multiple projects within the DS+P team. You’ll focus on the security and privacy of customer data, including changes to governmental rules and regulations. You’ll work to promote faster adoption of the changes that impact customer data while understanding the value and benefit of security changes. You will create a set of standard best practices and a consistent framework for change management to be used for Sales enablement.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Guide the analysis, documentation, management, and communication of project requirements
    • Assist with project communications functions like preparing progress reports and creating presentations for internal and external stakeholders
    • Develop a change strategy to support customer data security and privacy, including key metrics
    • Provide consistent, ongoing departmental and cross-functional communications to keep stakeholders and interested parties informed of activities and progress
    • Develop project-specific stakeholder analysis and impacts, communication strategy, training strategy, and rollout plan
    • Conduct market research across sales teams to determine needed content and enablement support
    • Establish feedback loops with core groups within the sales organization to iterate on and maintain content
    • Develop collateral based on sales professionals’ issues in the field related to DS+P customer questions and concerns
    • Manage customer data security and privacy campaigns
    • Develop, manage, and evangelize internal and external DS+P content that is aligned with the sales strategy
    • Evangelize privacy principles to achieve better privacy integration in the development life cycles of our offerings
    • Develop sales project-specific stakeholder analysis and impacts, communication strategy, training strategy, and rollout plan
    • Develop communications and training materials as needed
    • Foster an environment of collaboration, trust, and accountability for departmental and cross-functional teams
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with key stakeholders distributed across multiple countries and time zones
    • Build an internal and external community passionate about data security and privacy

    Required skills

    • 5+ years of strategic internal communications experience, preferably within a software or high-tech environment
    • Solid creative, collaboration, communication, and partnering skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment with team members distributed across multiple countries and time zones is a plus
    • Experience working within regulatory and compliance environments
    • Excellent risk mitigation and change management skills
    • Experience working in a cross-functional, collaborative environment; ability to bring different groups of people together to collaborate in a community setting
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field; industry certifications like Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar are a plus


    The following are considered a plus:


    • Practical expertise in creative collateral delivery and past agency experience
    • Graphic design experience and presentation skills
    • Excellent facilitation skills for large groups of diverse associates and stakeholders
