    Job summary

    The Red Hat Brand team is looking for a Brand Manager to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will work as part of the Brand team that defines Red Hat’s brand and protects its integrity, maintaining the strategic direction of our brand value and proposition. You will educate and inspire our fellow associates about the Red Hat brand and provide tools and training to equip associates to become effective brand champions. Your goal will be to employ an insights-driven marketing approach to increase brand familiarity, awareness, relevance, and affinity among our audiences. As a Brand Manager, you will help to define and amplify Red Hat’s brand voice both internally and externally.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Oversee current promotional vendor relationships; ensure that our vendors are maintaining brand standards and adhering to our operational processes
    • Provide tools and training for Red Hat’s associates to work with the brand correctly
    • Think strategically and tactically about promotional offerings; ensure that Red Hat is maximizing relevance and awareness of the brand through promotion
    • Manage our CO.LAB program across various global engagements; manage additional brand projects and programs including organizing, deploying, and measuring our largest internal event each year
    • Manage large-scale programs and bring cross-functional teams together for a unified, consistent engagement
    • Conceptualize, organize, manage, and deliver brand projects and programs
    • Manage our company store, the Cool Stuff Store, including vendor selection and management, product selection and inventory management, on-site sales, monthly and quarterly reports, and keeping merchandise on-trend and cost appropriate for our audiences
    • Work with the Director of Brand Experience to use the Cool Stuff Store and promotional merchandise as a broader platform and channel for marketing and sales
    • Align the strategy for promotional merchandise with existing marketing and experience enhancement efforts
    • Create campaigns for promotional product marketing efforts
    • Extend the reach and audience of the Cool Stuff Store
    • Deploy, measure, and report on promotional merchandise efforts as it impacts the brand
    • Manage special order requests for executives, events, associates, and communities
    • Work with global marketing teams and our associates to service both regional and corporate branding needs
    • Work with global teams to manage and implement CO.LAB experiences 
    • Define the implementation of Red Hat’s largest internal event, the We Are Red Hat Week
    • Establish and maintain cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders and partners

    Required skills

    • 7+ years of experience working in project or program management
    • Experience with managing a budget, including forecasting
    • Experience managing global programs and teams
    • Resourceful and proactive contributor with initiative
    • Solid interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
    • Ability to project manage large workloads and meet deadlines
    • Ability to handle multiple requests with responsive and friendly delivery 
    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field; graduate degree is a plus
    • Experience working in the technology industry is a big plus
    • Experience with promotional products, e-commerce sites, or experiential marketing is a plus
