    Job summary

    The Red Hat Information Technology (IT) team is looking for a Project Manager to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will work within a cross-functional program structure aligned to deliver Workday and a Payroll Transformation as an integrated program. You will apply your project management and business analysis expertise to the service delivery workstream. You’ll have the opportunity to join a highly cross-functional and collaborative program team and contribute leadership and subject matter expertise to areas requiring a multidisciplinary perspective. As a Project Manager you will be responsible for managing these work streams through the full project lifecycle. You will be responsible for delivering quality outcomes within budget and timeline while meeting the expectations of customer satisfaction and business adoption. You’ll need to be motivated to engage with our People (HR), IT and Finance teams to guide and enable their success, agile in response to changes and needs of various stakeholders, and analytical in identifying risks, opportunities, and dependencies across the program.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Work in partnership with the Program 1-2-3 technical delivery lead to proactively manage key deliverables for integrations and data warehouse (DWH) work streams
    • Identify deliverables within workstream tracks and reconcile key dates to the overall program project plan
    • Provide functional oversight across tracks and ensure accountable parties are aligned to critical path inter dependencies and dates
    • Review backlogs and planned work schedules to provide guidance on priority tasks for the plan
    • Work with vendors, business resources, and IT teams to align sequencing of testing and track key activities to support pre and post user acceptance testing (UAT) cycles
    • Align security tasks and owners to support single sign-on (SSO) configuration across multiple Workday tenants
    • Maintain and track the delivery actions, risks, issues, and decisions in the program RAID log and ensure all are kept up to date and accurate by working with subject matter experts and assigned owners to close them out
    • Raise potential issues or blockers with technical program manager and provide mitigation options and needs to resolve
    • Work in partnership with the change, communications, training, and service delivery leads to manage and track all activities required for a successful implementation of Workday and Payroll 
    • Develop and maintain program dashboards to track service delivery deliverables enabling visibility, reporting, and verification of completion at multiple sponsor levels
    • Partner with the service delivery workstream lead to gather data and create reports and storylines in Google slides to help bring transparency to service delivery activities needing decisions
    • Ensure all deliverables and commitments meet quality standards and expectations
    • Provide flexibility in project management support including waterfall and agile methods
    • Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all areas pertaining to data and proprietary information, whether internal to Red Hat or customer specific

    Required skills

    • 4+ years of relevant project management experience
    • Experience participating in digital transformation projects where technology and organizational change go hand in hand to deliver long term sustainability
    • Experience working with senior level executives and system integrators
    • Expertise in creating slide decks using a wide set of data and information of various sources
    • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree is a plus
    • Experience in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
    • Expertise creating project plans, schedules, and resourcing plans with project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet
    • Adept at adopting new technologies for daily work activities
    • Successful experience in project management with third party vendors
    • Solid communications, stakeholder, and relationship management skills
    • Ability to synthesize and analyze complex data to identify potential risks and draw meaningful conclusions            
    • Comfortable operating in rapidly changing environments
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Scrum Master certification is a plus
