    Job summary

    The Red Hat Global Partner and Technical Enablement team is looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join us in North Carolina. In this role, you will manage and lead the global DevOps and automation group, tasked with delivery and development programs and initiatives to support the successful delivery of advanced in-person enablement to Red Hat’s associates and partners focusing on Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and automation technologies. Your team will be charged with the creation and delivery of enablement content in collaboration with engineering, business units (BUs), and other program leaders. You’ll utilize and drive DevOps and Agile methodologies throughout the process. You will lead content services, assist with infrastructure operations, and take part in infrastructure innovation. You’ll need to consistently collaborate with internal teams across the organization, including services, solutions architects, the global and regional partner teams, and the Red Hat PnT BU and engineering. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Drive collaboration with other content creation groups in the organization and consolidate lab and demo environments
    • Serve as primary contact with engineering and BU promoting technical enablement strategy across PaaS and automation portfolio
    • Collaborate with solutions architect assets and program leaders and other content and demo creation groups
    • Take part in developing an upstream, open source content development program across Red Hat and beyond to reduce duplication of effort, improving quality, and increasing the speed of content creation
    • Lead 2-3 senior development teams (7-12 direct reports) for enablement content like: 
    • Advanced enablement experiences, such as face-to-face and other modalities
    • MVP face-to-face and online enablement for emerging technologies
    • Lead global and remote development teams to create soft skills and professional skills enablement content for technical professionals; work with consultants, architects, solutions architects
    • Support the IT Ops and Innovation teams to deliver stability and new features to support enablement and technical sales activities
    • Influance and champion adoption of Agile, Lean, and DevOps principles within the organization

    Required skills

    • 4+ years of experience delivering high quality technology training classes to technical audiences
    • 3+ years of courseware development experience for relevant IT technologies
    • Familiarity with industry best practices related to delivery management 
    • Experience with successfully implementing best practices to improve quality, reduce costs, optimize efficiency, enhance experiences, or improve instructional capabilities
    • Experience in working successfully across cultures, time-zones, and languages and a willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
    • Ability to work with limited supervision
    • Prior experience building and maintaining a roadmap or portfolio of innovative programs and projects
    • Proven ability to build and nurture relationships across multiple teams and to diligently follow through on commitments
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced innovative environment, working on many projects and responsibilities at the same time
    • Ability to re-prioritize effectively when needed
    • Familiarity with Red Hat’s infrastructure technologies, particularly in the emerging tech space, Cloud, containers, automation and DevOps
    • Experience with Agile project management demonstrated in a proven success managing complex, global projects and teams
    • Attention to detail and accuracy
    • Excellent communication, writing, presentation, and verbal skills
    • Knowledgeable and conversant with open source technologies and industry trends relating to open source and the cloud marketplace
