    Job summary

    The Red Hat Public Sector Sales team is looking for a Channel Sales Account Manager with experience selling high-tech offerings and services to join us in Tysons Corner, VA. In this role, you will work to increase Red Hat’s market share and revenue. You’ll be a key part of our field sales team and work on sales in defined cloud and hosting partners. You'll be responsible for alliance management in the assigned regions and you will assist in the planning and implementation of sales plans through partners. As a Channel Sales Account Manager, you will also be expected to meet quantitative and qualitative performance goals and set high standards for articulation and presentation of key messages and the Red Hat value proposition.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Work with existing and potential cloud and hosting partners to meet assigned sales quotas by creating and carrying out sales plans and strategies with cloud sales teams
    • Maintain long-term relationships with cloud and hosting partners, independent software vendors (ISVs), system integrators (SIs), and a broad partner ecosystem to achieve customer satisfaction and ensure aftermarket revenue
    • Understand and integrate sales initiatives across direct and inside sales channels
    • Provide sales support to partner sales teams through training, partner visits, and technical and administrative information, demonstrations, and customer price quotes for our offerings
    • Manage partner development, sales, and customer satisfaction within the territory

    Required skills

    • 10+ years of sales experience in the IT industry (software or hardware) with a demonstrated record of success
    • 5+ years of experience managing partnerships; familiarity with partner-generated business development in the commercial space
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills; proven record of developing relationships at engineering, commercial, and other levels throughout organizations
    • Understanding of the open source software market, hybrid cloud, and public cloud
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Willingness to travel up to 30%
    • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure is a plus
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or engineering is a plus
