    Job summary

    Red Hat’s Global Services team is looking for a Director of Global Services Marketing in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will lead and promote the go-to-market strategy for Red Hat’s services global functions and portfolio of strategic solutions. You will collaborate with the Global Services Marketing team responsible for marketing strategy and implementation for consulting services, training and certification, and global partner technical enablement. You’ll be a part of the Services Leadership team and work closely with corporate marketing senior leadership, field marketing, product marketing, and sales. Your mission will be to support the Global Services Marketing team’s charter in building internal and external awareness of Red Hat’s services and growing demand for its offerings.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Manage the Global Services Marketing team and own its key performance indicators (KPIs), plans, and strategic initiatives
    • Develop a unified communications strategy for Red Hat’s services including portfolio, solutions, training and certification, partner enablement, innovation labs, and thought leadership programs
    • Own the marketing plans for services globally and manage regular communications and cadence with field services marketing teams to synchronize plans and activities
    • Own the demand creation and marketing sourced pipeline for all services functions
    • Manage the global budget and plans for services marketing
    • Represent services with senior marketing leadership teams and ensure the voice of services is well represented with business units, Red Hat’s portfolio, and field and regional marketing
    • Work with other services marketing teams and Red Hat’s other marketing teams to craft consistent services marketing messaging
    • Manage the quarterly business review for services marketing and represent the team at all senior leadership meetings
    • Manage the value of services messaging around ROI for customers and prospects, including working with analyst firms, managing paid studies, and determining continuation and renewal of these studies
    • Manage the services customer references and testimonials, including working with regional sales leads and the corporate Customer Reference team
    • Work with corporate search engine optimization (SEO) teams to ensure that communications and documentation are optimized for search across multiple platforms
    • Own team KPIs and work closely with IT and operations and enterprise analytics to develop measurable KPIs that reflect the impact of the team
    • Work with the web team to ensure online communication strategy is consistent with the services communications strategy
    • Create customer business benefit messages for Red Hat’s services and promote market adoption
    • Determine how to measure program performance and develop best practices for being more effective and prioritizing the budget
    • Implement multi-channel marketing tactics, programs, and campaigns
    • Oversee production of individual creative projects across internal and external vendors
    • Assist in the management of Red Hat’s services online properties and programs
    • Oversee market and competitive analysis and research to inform planning activities
    • Establish and maintain cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders and partners

    Required skills

    • Degree in marketing, business, or a related field; graduate degree is a plus
    • 15+ years of experience in the technology industry is preferred
    • Experience working cross-functionally in global teams
    • Experience with strategic marketing
    • Experience with team leadership; experience managing a high performing team
    • Ability to take initiative and to be resourceful, proactive contributor
    • Solid interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
    • Ability to project manage large workloads and meet deadlines
    • Strategic and critical thinking with ability to interpret research and data
