    Job summary

    The Information Technology (IT) Enablement and Communications team is looking for an IT Enablement Program Manager to join us in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for IT communications, IT associate development, and IT organizational effectiveness. As part of our team, you’ll partner with IT associates and other organizations within Red Hat to deliver programs related to recruitment, training and development, performance measurement, organizational alignment, and employee engagement. You’ll need to be motivated and able to work as part of a team and to deliver programs to bring out the best in our IT associates and our IT organization. As an IT Enablement Program Manager, you’ll need to be able to balance a strategic vision with the ability to carry out that vision.

    Primary job responsibilities

    • Partner with IT managers and senior leaders to coordinate and align talent programs, projects, and activities across IT
    • Implement IT-wide programs or training initiatives to increase organizational effectiveness
    • Partner with the People (HR) team to develop, assess, facilitate, and lead organizational development programs and processes to support business objectives and strategy implementation
    • Guide and support the development and implementation of programs and strategies that help IT managers develop and improve the performance of their IT associates
    • Prepare for and manage the future IT workforce by partnering with HR and IT managers to recruit, retain, and reskill our people
    • Manage the job roles and create a job progression framework for all roles
    • Work with HR to organize old roles and create new roles; communicate to associates the differences between the roles
    • Manage IT learning bundles and create new ones as needed so that associates have the resources they need to continuously improve the skills they need for their next role
    • Manage the IT manager community and other cross-functional learning communities within IT
    • Manage the IT monthly learning sessions, i.e., IT chew and chats, to enable associates to make strategic connections across organizations and across IT services and offerings
    • Schedule speakers and manage event logistics
    • Create a program to onboard new hires within the IT team
    • Develop ways to communicate IT’s strategic areas of focus through IT town halls and other mechanisms
    • Define a mechanism to measure and communicate the effectiveness of IT enablement programs

    Required skills

    • Proven record of designing and launching successful programs or projects
    • Proven ability to provide guidance, coaching, and inspiration at all levels of the organization
    • Demonstrated ability to successfully partner with internal stakeholders from various parts of the organization and guide successful outcomes cross-functionally
    • Ability to handle many competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced and continually evolving environment
    • Ability to work in and manage ambiguity
    • Excellent communication skills; ability to present complex, strategic ideas or concepts in a user-friendly manner
    • Solid project management and organization skills; detail-oriented
    • 2+ years of experience supporting or working in IT; understanding of IT roles and skills
    • 5+ years of relevant enablement or organizational strategy experience
    • Bachelor's degree; MBA or master’s degree in a related field is a plus
