Job summary

The Red Hat Marketing team is looking for an energetic Program Marketing Manager to join our global account-based marketing (ABM) initiative in Tysons Corner, VA. In this role, you will support federal civilian accounts including Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Department of Justice (DoJ). Your goal will be to foster deeper partnerships with strategic account customers that will lead to a preference for Red Hat’s offerings and services. As a member of the Public Sector field marketing team, you will be responsible for planning and carrying out targeted marketing activities to prospective and existing customers, including IT decision makers and influencers, providing insights for decision maker engagement while maximizing the efficiency of the sales and marketing process.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive account profiles and target personas and oversee a database of named contacts to align marketing and sales in defining the target audience required to achieve account goals
  • Work with sales to identify gaps in key personas and contact information within target accounts Develop data and insight strategy to add key personas and contacts within these accounts
  • Collaborate with the global ABM program team to create and gain consensus for cross-portfolio go-to-market plans and marketing plays in alignment with strategic mandates and sales directives related to our offerings
  • Manage and promote an editorial calendar of thought leadership content and new marketing assets that align with the customer journey and sales buying stages and support the go-to-market plan
  • Deploy ready-to-execute marketing tactics and provide sales enablement on an account and industry basis using various channels including digital and social media and events
  • Analyze metrics and reports to determine effectiveness of program activities and integrated cloud thought leadership content consumption
  • Identify opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness through better audience segmentation, marketing techniques and processes

Required skills

  • 7+ years of marketing experience
  • Deep experience building and implementing ABM programs
  • Clear understanding of emerging technologies with the capability to skillfully guide business-oriented conversations with cross-portfolio product marketing teams
  • Successful direct and digital marketing campaign and social media experience
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results while working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product teams
  • Experience marketing to the federal government is a plus
