Job summary

The Red Hat IT Enterprise Applications team is looking for a Senior Application Developer to join us as a member of the IT Transformation Center of Excellence. In this role, you will ensure successful implementation of the WalkMe solution, including creation, testing, deployment, and maintenance of WalkMe content in alignment with project implementation timelines. You will work to understand our internal customers' pain points and business processes, figuring out the 'why' before determining the 'how.' Once you deploy WalkMe, you will analyze the effectiveness of your solution and measure success based on target metrics. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Digital Adoption team and business stakeholders to define WalkMe content scope and requirements for Red Hat’s applications
  • Create design documents, build, test, deploy, and maintain WalkMe content, including working with stakeholders to ensure WalkMe content is current, accurate, and relevant 
  • Identify WalkMe content gaps and work to close them (e.g., missing Walk-throughs, outdated Walk-throughs, etc.)
  • Build solutions to manage alignment to business process and promote desired behavior
  • Maintain the WalkMe solution by tracking all feature enhancements, deploying where appropriate, and communicating 
  • Enable and coach citizen developers throughout Red Hat to maintain WalkMe implementations
  • Monitor and respond to reported bugs and issues; work with the Digital Adoption team or citizen developers to resolve issues and bigs
  • Complete validation, UAT, and regression testing for all WalkMe-related releases
  • Facilitate translation of WalkMe content to additional languages
  • Proactively analyze data related to the use of the WalkMe solution against various KPIs, and let the data drive decisions on new implementations or updates to existing ones

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience with WalkMe experience or another digital adoption platform
  • 3+ years of experience in a software or technology company
  • Familiarity with enterprise software like Workday and Salesforce
  • Proven ability to manage several projects simultaneously on your own and work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with international teams and projects
  • Experience in software development or support and knowledge of agile development models is a plus
  • Learning and development or instructional design experience is a plus
  • HTML, CSS, or JavaScript experience is a plus
  • UX background is a plus
