To help fulfill that mission, the User Experience Design (UXD) team is looking for an Interaction Design Intern to design experiences that help users interact with Red Hat’s products and services.

What you will do

  • Contribute to an interdisciplinary team that includes other user experience designers, developers, product and marketing managers, and other stakeholders through all phases of the development cycle.
  • Identify the right problems to solve, gauge the usability of products, and make sound recommendations for improvements.
  • Clearly understand and articulate the information architecture, workflows, and processes surrounding the user experience.
  • Create wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes to effectively communicate design intent.
  • Partner with UI developers to ensure technical success.

What you will bring

  • This internship is open to students who are graduating in 2024-2025
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in interaction design, visual design, human computer interaction, human factors, computer science, or a closely related area
  • Experience with the user interface design process and methodologies like Design Thinking
  • User experience work samples linked in your resume or presented in a portfolio

Preferred qualifications

  • A basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus but not required
